FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We know there are a lot of questions that you may have before attending camp for the first time. Here are a few things that might help. Feel free to email and call if you have further questions.
Q: Do I have to bring a horse?
A: Horses are not required. We have several non-equine events available (Go-Karts, leather, and shooting sports). If you are wanting to participate in a horse event. You can check out a horse, please contact us for this information, but you are limited to the horsemanship event.
Q: What should I bring for my horse?
A: Bring all his regular feed, feed and water tubs (10 gal min), brushes and tack. Please make sure tack is in good repair complete with stirrup hobbles, and girth hobbles. You do not need to worry about watering your horse throughout camp, we have staff assigned to that for you. You will be responsible for feeding. Stalls are provided by request on the registration form.
Q: What should I wear?
A: You will be spending a lot of time in the sun and riding. Boots and Jeans are required for all events. We recommend bringing a hat, short and long sleeves, as well as cowboy attire for the rodeo day. You are welcome to wear t shirts the rest of the time. You will want to bring some sport clothes and tennis shoes for games and maybe some flip flops for shower time. As always we definitely recommend lots of sunscreen and chapstick.
Q: Where will I sleep?
A: Guys and Girls have separate sleeping quarters in a separate side of the indoor arena. We recommend bringing twin sized cot or air mattress of some sort as you will be sleeping on the ground. Tents are not permitted in the sleeping quarters. There are bathrooms with showers. Bring a towel and soap, as well as other personal hygiene items.
Q: Will meals be provided?
A: We provide three meals a day, and you can eat as much as you want.
B: At our Senior Camp concessions are also available throughout camp if you desire a candy bar, quick snack, or drink other than water.
Q: What else should I bring?
A: A bible, notebook, pen, bug spray, chapstick, sunscreen, and flash light.
