Camp EVENTS

  • Disc Golf**** (New 2024)

    • Students will learn the techniques and game of disc golf. Instruction will take place on-site and at the disc golf course.

    • Solo event

  • Leather

    • Students will learn the art and craft of leather creations. Students in this event will make their own Bible cover to take home.

  • Go-Kart Derby

    • Students will build go-karts during camp. They will receive instruction in welding, mechanic work, and more.

  • Shooting Sports

    • Students will learn safety with firearms and have the opportunity to compete in challenges and learn to shoot a variety of guns along with archery.

  • Horsemanship (this is the only horse event that your own horse isn’t required.)

    • Students can sign up for horsemanship with or without their own horse. Horses can be reserved on a first-come first served basis. Please contact Courtney at 719-849-1955. The horsemanship class takes students from a variety of backgrounds and riding levels and gives them the opportunity to learn and grow their horsemanship skills.

  • Working Cow Horse

    • This event combines the skills of reining, cutting, and ranch work and puts it all together. Whether you are wanting to take your horse to the next level or introduce them to ranch work and cattle work this is the event for you.

  • Roping

    • We offer instruction in team roping, both heading and heeling and breakaway roping. Whether you are just beginning or a pro there is valuable instruction available for you in these areas.

    • Combo event within the roping category.

  • Goat Tying

    • Come and learn to tie goats with or without a horse. Fine-tune your skills or learn from the ground up.

  • Barrels/Poles

    • Regardless of your skill level, you can walk away with new knowledge and growth in the area of barrels and poles. This event focuses more on your horsemanship skill than speed. Doing things right and then worrying about the clock.

  • Rough Stock

    • We offer instruction in bareback, saddle bronc, and bull riding. We have a variety of stock available for beginner or advanced riders. We start with the basics, gear, and on the machine and then we only put you on the stock that we believe suits your skill level best.

  • Bull Fighting

    • Learn the basics of bullfighting, both cowboy protection, and freestyle. You will have the ability to work one on one with a dummy, protecting cowboys as they ride in practice and the rodeo, and then show off your skills with a one-on-one face off.
